Can I bring my children?
At EveryMum we understand that quite often where you go, your kids go! Our pregnancy and new parent tea and cake meet ups are open to all the family including children, partners and parents – bring your neighbour if you want! During new parent tea and cake sessions, creative workshops are on offer for grown up folks. We have space and resources to keep an eye on pre-crawlers while you focus on the task at hand. There are toys for older children to play with too . At this stage our funding doesn’t stretch to childcare so you can choose to keep an eye on them while you create or bring someone along to be with them.
How many weeks pregnant do I have to be?
All are welcome no matter what stage of pregnancy you are in – even the no man’s land of the first trimester when you might feel you can’t tell anyone – this is the place to share in confidence.
Does this have to be my first child?
Absolutely not!! Anyone EveryMum offers a creative space where you can express and explore your feelings honestly and without judgement, where you can ease into being a mum through pregnancy, labour, birth and beyond – including subsequent children. As a mum of two I understand that every child brings a new experience, especially the shift in family dynamics – a rollercoaster ride of emotions!
Can my partner join in?
Our pregnancy and new parent tea and cake meet ups are open to all the family including children, partners and parents. All new parents are invited to take part in optional creative workshops such as storytelling and collaging. At this stage our funding is limited and we’re focusing on areas of most need so our creative pregnancy workshops are for mums-to-be only. We look forward to growing this resource in the future and would love your feedback.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just your lovely self and anyone else who might be joining you. Our tea and cake meet ups are a time to share experiences with local mums and mums-to-be and we invite offerings of cake too! If you’d like to bring something along, please do.
Can I drop in or do I have to commit to all the sessions?
Please do drop in! At Anyone EveryMum we understand that it can be hard to commit to things when you’ve got so much going on already. Trying something new can be daunting too so feel free to poke your head round the door and suss us out – we promise to be friendly! There is no pressure to get involved in creative workshops, just an invitation with tea and cake in the meantime.
Do I need experience to take part in the creative activities?
At Anyone EveryMum we see beauty in difference and believe each individual is innately creative in their own way. We offer playful spaces where people can come together and creatively explore, whoever they are, helping them towards a physically, emotionally and socially healthy existence. It’s all about connection, fun and creativity – you can never get it wrong!
